We started this company under three principles; healthy living, healthy eating and heathly business.

 

In a world awash with industrialized processed food and products from factory farms, where cost cutting intiatives and economically optimized mass production have reduced overall costs at the expense of quality, taste and nutrition; The Eastbluff Trading Company brings to you a pure, loved, cared for and hand harvested organic cacao.

 

We spent over a year sourcing our cacao. Working on the ground with the farmers, local non-profits and government agencies we are proud to say, that we are the first company to export 100% USDA ORGANIC CERTIFIED CACAO from Venezuela. We also worked to get the first cacao processing plant in the country organically certified through regional certifiers, Bio Latina.

 

Organic food doesn't just mean no chemicals, it means sustainable farming and offers the farmers a price that allows for sustainable living. We are currently working with other Cacao farming comunities to help them transition into organic farmic practices in order to help them get a better price for thier work.

 

At Eastbluff Trading we pay well above fair trade pricing, we work with the farming communities and offer upfront payments before the harvest to help them invest in thier farms and help them get by between harvests.

 

Heathly business is about partnerships. We value our partners and are commited to them by sharing 2% of our profits with them. We are the first company to offer such incentives to Venezuelan cacao farmers and hope to not only promote organic farming methods but also to secure healthy living, healthy eating and healthy business for everyone involved - from You to Jose Lugo (one of the farmers we do business with.)
